- The San Fransisco Giants payed Barry Zito a boat load of money and he’s now living up to the billing1. Zito dazzled into the 8th and was able to record his 5th victory of the season and remained unbeaten.
- Cincinnati’s Orlando Cabrera led off the bottom of the 10th inning and sent one down the line2 that would hit off the foul pole and give the Reds another extra innings victory.
- Tampa Bay Ray’s starter Matt Garza improved to 5-1 and became the first AL Pitcher3 to win 5 games this season.
