- The Texas Rangers made the biggest splash of the summer by trading for Cliff Lee after a deal with the Yankees had fallen through:
- The Marlins’ Ricky Nolasco has certainly found his groove, winning his 4th straight decision2. Nolasco pitched 7 innings striking out 6 while giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs.
- The Brewers were able to snap a 5 game loosing skid3 thanks to a Ryan Braun single in the 10th inning against the Pirates.
