Roy Halladay pitched his 5th complete game this season as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Oakland Athletics 3-1. Halladay gave up 8 hits and allowed just the 1 run in his complete game performance. Jimmy Rollins supplied most of the run support as he went 4-4 scoring 2 out of the 3 runs.

- The White Sox won their 7th in a row2 thanks in part to the pitching of Gavin Floyd and the hitting of Carlos Quentin.
- The Rockies Jason Hammel had another steady performance3 as he pitched 6.1 innings gave up 5 hits and only surrendered 2 runs for his 7th victory of the season.

- Carlos Quentin of the Chicago White Sox dropped a deuce of homers3 on the Atlanta Braves. The deuce helped notch another victory and run the winning streak to 9 games.
