First of all sorry for the delay, as you might have read I was camping this past week. When I asked for the rain to go away and come back another day, it kept choosing the next day to come back again. Be careful what you ask for, right.
Ok well this past week there has been so much activity as well. With some voting becoming official for who will be attending MLB’s All-Star game1, a plethora of moves2 in the NBA, and also Nomar’s return to Boston3 as well.
When you think of the 2009 NBA Draft you may say it was very sub-par. This may be true, the players drafted are not as skilled in years past. You knew about a month before the draft who the #1 pick was going to be (Blake Griffin1). What you did not know was the amount of trading that would happen before or during2 the draft.
I think that is what makes any draft exciting. The chance for a team to get better by using all the chips they have in front of them. Many times players are traded for cash, blah, but many teams will trade a player plus their upcoming picks or future picks as part of the package.

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers have found the Championship1 formula once again. What changed for Kobe Bryant was his attitude and role on the Lakers. Kobe had to become a leader2 in order for him and his team to rise to the top once again. For the Los Angeles Lakers to continue this formula, they will have to play unselfish basketball and continue to play together as a team. Congratulations to the Lakers.
