Early Acceptance

The Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls each lead their series 3-0 and are looking for an early entry into the Conference Semifinals. The Heat got an outstanding game from Dwayne Wade who had 32 pts with 10 rebounds and 8 assist. The Heat also took advantage of second chance opportunities by pulling down 20 offensive rebounds and ultimately beat the Philadelphia 76ers 100-94. The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, played the Indiana Pacers close all game long and with 17.8 seconds left they looked to their MVP. Derrick Rose answered the call by driving to the hole and making a layup that would give the Bulls the lead for good:

The Boston Celtics went up 2-0 in their series with the New York Knicks after relying on the play of Kevin Garnett down the stretch. Garnett was able to put the Celtics up 1 after hitting a difficult turn around hook. On the defensive end, KG was able to come up with a loose ball and call timeout to ensure the Celtics victory. Delonte West was fouled with .6 seconds on the clock and he nailed him both to secure the 3 point win:

Kemba Walks-On

Kemba Walker of the National Champion Connecticut Huskies declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft yesterday. Riding high off his teams tournament victory, Kemba Walker may have it benefit him when it comes to draft day. My personal opinion is that he is a fantastic player, a true star if you will. He can score in bunches if you let him but if you don’t let him. Well, he finds a way to get the most out of the players around him. That is why the Huskies are holding the trophy at the end of the tournament. They had a point guard who knew the correct time to use the other options on the floor if he was not having his best day:

The Atlanta Hawks made a valiant effort to overcome a 20 point lead by the Miami Heat in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately for the Hawks,  LeBron James (34 points) and the Heat had the No. 2 seed in their sights. They would not let the lead slip away as they defeated the Hawks 98-90. The Heat clinched the No. 2 spot putting Boston at No.3 and the Hawks will remain in the 5 spot:
