The NBA has locked out it’s players as they try to negotiate a labor agreement. This could get ugly:
So much for matchups like this. Actually we won’t be stuff like this regardless but you know what I mean:
Sorry this is not Julius Irving I am talking about here, although Cleveland probably hopes he could be. Kyrie Irving from Duke, was the first overall selection in this years NBA Draft. Like most of the NBA’s #1 picks we’ll have to wait to see how this pans out. After the way he played in the NCAA tournament this year though, I have a feeling he will be well deserving of the #1 pick:
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in compelling fashion 105-95 for the franchises first NBA title. The Dallas Mavericks seemed to do everything right down the stretch in order to close out the Heat. They rotated on defense, drove the lane and hit all the important shots when it mattered most. The game was much about Dallas doing what Miami could not when the game was on the line:
The Mavericks defeated the Heat thanks in large part to the 13 three’s they were able to hit last night. Dallas also shot 56 percent from the field and outscored the Heat 17-4 down the stretch. Of course Dirk Nowitzki lead the way for the Mavericks with 29 points and have the Mavericks 1 game away from an NBA Championship:
The X factor in last nights NBA Finals game 1 was not a member of the Big 3. Rather it was the defense of the Miami Heat against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks were only down a point at the half, but their shooting never improved as they shot 37% for the game. LeBron Jame scored 24 points and Dwyane Wade recorded a double double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Game 2 is on Thursday night and the Mavericks better step up their game if they hope to get Dirk his ring he deserves. Yes I am rooting for the Mavs:
