The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 139-137 in triple overtime. Kobe Bryant lead the way for the Lakers with 42 points but it was Ron Artest who lead the way in the final few minutes in the 3rd OT:
The new look New Jersey Nets had everything in check last night. With the debut of their new point guard, Deron Williams, the Nets were able to hang with the Phoenix Suns the entire game until 6.6 seconds in overtime. That’s when Channing Frye stepped up and knocked down a 3 to give the Suns the final lead at 104-103:
The San Antonio Spurs just keep on winning in the early season as they defeated the Orlando Magic 106-97 and extended their streak to 11. Dwight Howard had 26 points and 18 rebounds in the loss for Orlando. Steve Nash returned to the Suns lineup and scored 24 points, putting his career points mark past 15,000:
Greg Oden is out again for the season after needing surgery on his left knee. He missed his rookie season after having micro fracture surgery on his right knee. After having surgery on both is knees, hopefully next year he can remain healthy unless of course he grows another knee:
