The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in compelling fashion 105-95 for the franchises first NBA title. The Dallas Mavericks seemed to do everything right down the stretch in order to close out the Heat. They rotated on defense, drove the lane and hit all the important shots when it mattered most. The X factor in last nights NBA Finals game 1 was not a member of the Big 3. Rather it was the defense of the Miami Heat against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks were only down a point at the half, but their shooting never improved as they shot 37% for the game. LeBron Jame scored 24 points and Dwyane Wade recorded a double double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Game 2 is on Thursday night and the Mavericks better step up their game if they hope to get Dirk his ring he deserves. Yes I am rooting for the Mavs:
