The NBA has locked out it’s players as they try to negotiate a labor agreement. This could get ugly:
So much for matchups like this. Actually we won’t be stuff like this regardless but you know what I mean:
The Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers will all be moving onto the second round of the playoffs. The Hawks Joe Johnson was the difference maker as he scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the 84-81 victory over the Orlando Magic. The Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki put his team on his back in the 106-96 victory. Dirk scored 33 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds as the Mavericks look to erase the memories of previous playoff performances. The Lakers were in total control throughout the entire game as they defeated the New Orleans Hornets 98-80. The Lakers used their size inside (Bynum 18 & 12) and also Bryant’s outside presence (24 points) to get a total team effort in the victory:
The Chicago Bulls were in total control last night throughout the entire game against the Indiana Pacers. Even with a sprained ankle, Derrick Rose managed to lead his team (25 points & 6 assists) to a 116 – 89 victory. The victory was a true team effort for Chicago as they had 6 players in double figures. The Bulls will move on to face the winners of the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic series:

The Utah Jazz may have denied the Lakers a No.1 seed as they held onto win 86-85 after Kobe Bryant lost his handle on the ball before the buzzer sounded. The Magic and Knicks also won to secure there spots in the seeding:
