NBA Teams Jostle For Playoff Positions

The Milwaukee Bucks stayed on a roll for the playoffs, winners of 4 straight, by beating the 76ers by 5 (95-90). With the win over the Timberwolves, The Los Angeles Lakers will have the benefit of their home court throughout the Western Conference playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers with a little help from Dirk Nowitzki (40 pts) and wouuld also win the Southwest Divisional crown to boot1:

Cavaliers Lost Without King James

Wouldn’t you Noah, the Bulls hold onto win against the Cavaliers and move into a tie for the 8th playoff spot. Sacramento stops their recent loosing streak by beating up on the Clippers 116-94. The Lakers and Nuggets met as a playoff preview so to speak and Carmelo Anthony made sure the Nuggets stayed on top with a key block at the end of regulation1:

Nelson Ties Wilkens On All-Time Victories List

Boston’s Ray Allen was on fire from distance and scored a season high 33 points  fend off King James and Cavaliers. The Lakers will remember the Alamo as San Antonio wins on the road and clinches a playoff berth as well. Warriors get a “golden” victory as Chris Bosh can’t connect on a last second shot for the Raptors. The Warriors victory puts Don Nelson along side Lenny Wilkens atop the coaches all time wins list1:

Houston Has No Problem In Overtime

Dwayne Wade helped the Heat pull away from the Pacers in overtime by scoring 8 of his 43 points. Rajon Rondo passed, no pun intended, Bob Cousy as Boston’s season assist leader, a record that stood for 50 years. Unfortunately the Rockets took off in overtime going on a 10-0 run and taking the victory.  David Lee’s triple double (43pts, 20 boards, 10 assists) was not enough for the New York Knicks to overcome the high scoring Golden State Warriors club1:
