Bulls Rose To New Level In Chi-Town

The Chicago Bulls returned to their home court and it seems the change of scenery did them good defeating the Cavaliers by 2 and making the series 2-1. The first playoff game ever in the Ford Center, Oklahoma’s home court, did not disappoint. Kevin Durant lead the way and scored 29 pts and also ripped down 19 rebounds in Oklahoma’s win over Los Angeles. The Lakers lead the series 2-1. The Suns’ Jason Richardson torched the Trail Blazers for 42 pts (8 three pointers) and gave Phoenix the 2-1 series lead.

Lakers Withstand Thunderous Defensive Effort

The Atlanta Hawks took control of their series with the Milwaukee Bucks winning game 2 96-86. The Hawks Joe Johnson had 27 points and Josh Smith was an assist shy of a triple double with 9 to go along with 21 points and 14 boards. Celtics rout Heats as Ray Allen is 7 of 9 from long range with 25 pts all together. Suns even up the series at one a piece with a 119-90 win over the Trail Blazers. Despite 17 blocks and great defense the Oklahoma City Thunder could not fend off Kobe Bryant (39 pts) and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nash and Suns Fail To Rise

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder have no answer for Kobe Bryant plus his supporting cast in the game 1 loss to the Lakers. Bobcats show fight against Magic storming back from 22 pts down but it was to little to late as Jameer Nelson put the Magic in position to cruise to the game 1 victory. Dirk Nowitzki did his best to make sure the Mavericks notched a game 1 victory by pouring in 36 points and 7 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers survive the game 1 trip to the desert and upset the Phoenix Suns.

Bulls Come Up Roses Against Celtics

Chicago was able to get a much needed win at home and now have a 1 game advantage for that coveted 8th spot over Toronto heading into the final game of the regular season. Utah wins over Golden State and helps their chances of getting a higher seeding for the playoffs. The Denver Nuggets had dreams of taking home a Divisional crown but the Phoenix Suns had other ideas as Stoudemire  (29 pts, 8 boards) and Nash (18pts, 10 assists) are to much to handle for Denver.

Chi-Town Is Playoff Bound

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers thanks to  missed free throws by Kobe Bryant and a last second 3 pointer by Pau Gasol that was off the mark. Chicago beats Toronto and take a one game lead over Toronto for the final playoff spot in the East. The Golden State Warriors battled back from a 20 pt deficit to beat Oklahoma City by 3 points1:
