San Antonio Evens Series With Mavs

The Orlando Magic had 5 players in double figures and took a 2-0 advantage against the Charlotte Bobcats.  The San Antonio Spurs almost blew a 20 point lead but the Mavericks could not overcome the play of Tim Duncan (25 pts, 17 boards) and Manu Ginobili (23 pts). The series is tied at 1.

Nash and Suns Fail To Rise

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder have no answer for Kobe Bryant plus his supporting cast in the game 1 loss to the Lakers. Bobcats show fight against Magic storming back from 22 pts down but it was to little to late as Jameer Nelson put the Magic in position to cruise to the game 1 victory. Dirk Nowitzki did his best to make sure the Mavericks notched a game 1 victory by pouring in 36 points and 7 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers survive the game 1 trip to the desert and upset the Phoenix Suns.

NBA Teams Jostle For Playoff Positions

The Milwaukee Bucks stayed on a roll for the playoffs, winners of 4 straight, by beating the 76ers by 5 (95-90). With the win over the Timberwolves, The Los Angeles Lakers will have the benefit of their home court throughout the Western Conference playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers with a little help from Dirk Nowitzki (40 pts) and wouuld also win the Southwest Divisional crown to boot1:

Denver Gets Mile High Victory

Micheal Pietrus went 6 for 6 from 3 point range to lead the Magic Over the Mavericks. Denver gets back on its winning track as Anthony, Nene, and Billups each score 20+ points in the win over Portland.
