In other news there was a football game last night between the New England Patriots & the New York Jets2. The Patriots scored 17 in the 1st quarter to gain the lead and never let up. They would score 4 more times throughout the game and routed New York 45-3.
Not really sure what the title means but it is pretty comical. Micheal Vick had yet another stellar game1 as he threw for 300 yards with a pair of touchdowns but also lead the Eagles in rushing as he ran in for another score. LeSean McCoy also had a pair of touchdowns as the Eagles held off the feisty Texans 34-24.
The game against the Cardinals didn’t go as planned for the Niners, in the sense that they lost their starting running back1, Frank Gore, for the season with a fractured hip.(according to ESPN2) Brian Westbrook was ready to step right in as he ran for 136 and 1 touchdown in the 27-6 win.
The San Antonio Spurs just keep on winning in the early season as they defeated the Orlando Magic 106-97 and extended their streak to 11. The Lakers Pau Gasol went a perfect 10-10 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line as he scored 28 points to lead the Lakers over the Warriors 117-89:
