- Roy Halladay pitched another complete game running his tally to 8 on the season1. He only allowed 6 hits and 1 run in the 9 innings.
- The Red Sox swept the Angels thanks in part to Marco Scutaro’s grand slam in the 8th inning2 breaking a 3-3 tie.
- Carlos Lee of Houston, blasted off3 against the Cubs hitting 2 home runs. The second home run gave Houston the lead and they did not squander the lead.

Here’s The Rundown:
- The Rangers Cliff Lee held the Athletics to 1 run while striking out a career best 131. Lee did not factor in the decision however but the Rangers won 3-1 in 13 innings.
- The Twins Carl Pavano won his 8th straight decision2 after pitching 5 innings and allowing 1 run on 5 hits.
- With a 12-4 victory over the Brewers the Reds moved into a tie for first place3 in the N.L. Central with the Cardinals.

Here’s The Rundown:
- The Rays Matt Garza threw the first no hitter in franchise history1 for Tampa Bay. Garza struck out 6 and only walked 1 batter in the victory.
- The Red Sox David Ortiz did not make Dan Haren’s first start with the Angels2 a smooth one but he didn’t leave the biggest mark. Kevin Youkilis hit a line drive off of Haren’s forearm which shortened his debut.
- The Twins Joe Mauer had a career high 7 RBI’s3 as the Twins as one of the best games of the season.
