Sooner Or Later

The Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Florida State Seminoles 23-13 in order to stay atop the AP Poll. The Sooners were able to answer Florida State’s touchdown with 9:32 left in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 13. Landry Jones (Oklahoma) was able to hook up with Kenny Stills (125 yards, 1 TD) for a 83 yard touchdown pass on the ensuing drive. The Sooners would also add a late field goal to seal the victory:

Gamecocks Streak To Back To Back Titles

The South Carolina Gamecocks not only won their second championship last night but they did it with style. Winning 16 times in the NCAA tournament and also generating the longest win streak with 11 in a row during the College World Series:

Repeat?

The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Florida Gators 2-1 last night in the first game of the College World Series. The Gamecocks were able to stick to their formula that made them defending champions, play great defense and apply pressure on offense. South Carolina was able to do this in the 13th inning and the Gators folded. Florida made 2 throwing errors when Christian Walker stole second. First, the catcher threw the ball into right-center allowing Walker to advance to third. Next, Florida’s right fielder Bryson Smith’s throw got away from the 3rd baseman Dent. That allowed Walker to stroll on home with the go ahead run and 1-0 series lead:

Nothing But The Best

The Butler Bulldogs are heading back to the Final Four after defeating the Florida Gators 74-71 in overtime. In typical Butler fashion, they were able to hang around the entire game and turn it on when the game mattered the most:

Hoffman Changes Up His Career

After reaching number 601 Trever Hoffman has called it a career. Blowing Lee Smith, 478 saves, out of the water to stand alone atop the All-Time saves leader board, it was time to hang em up:
