The Carolina Panthers took Cam Newton from Auburn as their No.1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. I think this was a no brainer for the Panthers. They have had trouble with the QB position once Jake Delhome was hit with the injury bug. They are hoping that Newton will add another dimension to their offense and also lock up the QB spot for years to come:
