Sorry this is not Julius Irving I am talking about here, although Cleveland probably hopes he could be. Kyrie Irving from Duke, was the first overall selection in this years NBA Draft. Like most of the NBA’s #1 picks we’ll have to wait to see how this pans out. After the way he played in the NCAA tournament this year though, I have a feeling he will be well deserving of the #1 pick:
Jim Tressel resigned as Ohio State Head Coach amongst the many swirling NCAA violations. Coach Tressel was in a way forced out of his job after the hits kept on coming about free gifts and handouts his players have received over the past years:
The Cleveland Cavaliers blew out the Miami Heat 102-90 and all LeBron James could do was record a triple double (27 points, 10 rebounds & 12 assists). The Cavaliers managed keep the game at a distance despite blowing a 23 point lead:
Kevin Martin scored a season high 40 points for the Houston Rockets in the 110-95 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Martin did most of his damage in the first half scoring 32 points, which is just redonculous!
LeBron James made his return to Cleveland with the Miami Heat and he did not disappoint. He would drop 24 points in the 3rd quarter en route to scoring 38 points and the Heat would win this by a large margin 118 – 90:
