• The New York Yankees held a ceremony to remember their boss George Steinbrenner and long time announcer Bob Sheppard. Both men past away earlier this week after being some of the most notable people in the organization.

• The Texas Rangers’ Benji Molina hit for the cycle² against the Boston Red Sox. He became the 8^th player and was the first catcher since 1990 to record the feat with a Grand Slam. Certainly a one man wrecking crew.
• The Giants’ Barry Zito followed up Tim Lincecum’s shutout performance³ with one of his own. Zito pitched 8 innings with 10 strikeouts and only 2 hits.
