Rebecca Lobo’s Massachusetts girl’s basketball state scoring record was broken on Jan. 26th. The girl who possesses the record now goes by the name of Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir¹. She attends New Leadership Charter School in Springfield and has been on a scoring rampage since the 8th grade. The new record stands at 2,736 after a 28 point scoring effort by Abdul-Qaadir. One thing is for sure, she is certainly not done scoring for the rest of the season. New Leadership has five more games remaining on the season² and Abdul-Qaadir will be looking to add to her total.
