Here’s The Rundown:
- The Rays Matt Garza threw the first no hitter in franchise history1 for Tampa Bay. Garza struck out 6 and only walked 1 batter in the victory.
- The Red Sox David Ortiz did not make Dan Haren’s first start with the Angels2 a smooth one but he didn’t leave the biggest mark. Kevin Youkilis hit a line drive off of Haren’s forearm which shortened his debut.
- The Twins Joe Mauer had a career high 7 RBI’s3 as the Twins as one of the best games of the season.
