• The Cubs Carlos Silva remains undefeated¹ after throwing another beaut. He improved his rocord to 8-0 after allowing one run over 7 innings.
• Cole Hamels of the Phillies went 6 no hit innings² and then the Padres bats exploded in the 7^th. Hamels ended up giving up 3 hits and 2 runs through 8 while Wade LeBlanc pitched even better for San Deigo for 7 innings.
• Boston’s Daisuke Matsuzaka may have struggled earlier in the season but he starting to find his groove³. He extended his scoreless innings streak to 15 as the Red Sox beat the Indians 4-1.
