Rawlings has come out with a new aluminum bat. The 5150 series is different than most aluminum bats because of the different type of materials used during manufacturing. The bat my team at Cardinal Spellman High School used was the Alloy 5150. I liked the bat because of how the weight was distributed to the barrel more as apposed to the handle. This gives it a top heavy feel but makes it lighter to swing when compared to other aluminum bats. It also has a great sound and you can really rip the ball if you get that sweet spot. Only thing bad I heard about it was that it vibrated a lot more than the other bats if you hit the ball off the tip of the bat.
