• The Yankees C.C. Sabathia was dominant from start to finish in his latest outing. Surrendering only 1 through 8 innings, C.C. tied his own record for wins¹ in a season with 19.
• The Rockies and Phillies had themselves a good old fashioned high scoring duel². The Phillies scored 9 runs in the 7^th and were able to hold on, as they won 12-11. Chase Utley added 6 RBI’s with 4 of them coming off his grand slam in the 7^th.
• The Indians Shin-Soo Choo but his team on his back and drove in all but 1 run³ as he hit a bases clearing double and a 2 run blast.

• David Price gave up 1 run through 8 innings¹ and struck out 7 en route to his franchise record 16^th victory.
• The Giants Tim Lincecum broke out of one of the worst pitching funks² he has had in years. Lincecum threw 8 innings allowing 5 hits with 9 K’s and only allowed 1 run.
• The Twins didn’t loose any ground³ atop the standings thanks to a walk off single by Danny Valencia.

• The Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman was only pitching for one inning but he made quite the impression. Chapman recorded a perfect 8^th inning and topped out at 102 mph¹.
• The Marlins Hanley Ramirez showed off his speed² in the 9^th as he stole second after hitting a single. Two batters later he was able to score from second and slide underneath the tag at home for the walk off victory.
• The Blue Jays pounded the Rays for 10 runs in the 6^th inning³ and would roll to an easy 13-5 victory.

• The Dodgers Hiroki Kuroda took a no-hitter into the 8^th inning¹ against Philadelphia. Shane Victorino ended up lining a single to center to break up the no-hit bid. Kuroda finished with 7 strikeouts through 7 2/3 to go along with the 1 hit.
• J.A. Happ went the distance for the Houston Astros while only allowing 2 hits² and struck out 4 in the 3-0 victory.
• The Cincinnati Reds keep on steamrolling into the final month of the season. The Reds recorded a 5-4 victory over the Brewers in the 1o^th thanks to Jay Bruce who started and ended the scoring³.

It is unbelievable to think about yourself playing baseball at this age and being on a stage such as this. Watching these kids play you can say that many of these games are better than the professionals. Granted that a percentage of these kids will become professionals, at least this young they haven’t been introduced to enhancements, well you hope anyhow.

Still these kids always give their best and have so much passion for the game it is hard not to feel for them when they loose. Another great World Series Tournament has come and gone and I am sure next year will be just as good.
