  • The Yankees Ace C.C. Sabathia won his 8th straight decision2 by pitching 7 strong innings of six hit ball. He only allowed 1 run, which was more than enough as the Yankees beat Seattle 8-2.
  • The Dodgers blanked the Cubs3 7-0 as Vicente Padilla gave up 2 hits through 8 innings.

  • The White Sox won their 7th in a row2 thanks in part to the pitching of Gavin Floyd and the hitting of Carlos Quentin.
  • The Rockies Jason Hammel had another steady performance3 as he pitched 6.1 innings gave up 5 hits and only surrendered 2 runs for his 7th victory of the season.

  • The Marlins’ Ricky Nolasco has certainly found his groove, winning his 4th straight decision2. Nolasco pitched 7 innings striking out 6 while giving up 6 hits and 2 earned runs.
  • The Brewers were able to snap a 5 game loosing skid3 thanks to a Ryan Braun single in the 10th inning against the Pirates.

  • The Astros’ Roy Oswalt threw a complete game 1 hitter2 and struck out 8 batters on the way to a a 2-0 victory over the Pirates.
  • The White Sox John Danks threw a complete game 2 hitter3 with 7 strikeouts against the Angels in the 1-0 victory.
