Teaching Through Sports

I was browsing around on You Tube, as I do many days, and stumbled upon this news story of a Basketball Player at Manhattan College receiving a scholarship to play. I know your saying so what, that happens all the time. It sure does but just not for players who have one hand. Check it out1:

He makes me think about the time when Jason McElwain suited up for his final game of High School. If you forget the story then here it is again, this never gets old, ever2.

Why does this Manhattan player bring my mind to this particular high school player? It reminded me of special moments sports have given us over the years.

These young adults and kids have brought to light one common theme. You can do whatever your heart desires, so long as you put your mind to it. I know it has been said time and time again but that is because it is true. It is very cool to see such great attitudes and different perspectives on life. Positive thinking begets positive results.
