I was going to write about this¹…..

You know what, good for them. As much as this Boston boy would have liked to see them lose, they had timely hits, better pitching, and they really were the better all around team this year. That lineup is tough to beat and even tougher when you can only score 1 or 3 runs against them.

Lets talk about what really matters, Fantasy Football. This is the time of the year when you know if your team really has any chance at all. Unfortunately after this week, my teams are toast and I could not be more upset. This year I would score 100 pts (if you don’t know usually that is good enough for a win) and loose by 20. Very frustrating stuff going on in all my leagues.

Someone once said to me “you know they call it fantasy for a reason.” Yeah I know but the fantasy world makes the “real” so much better when your team just flat out dominates each week. When you loose, no matter the margin, it makes your Mondays/Tuesdays that much worse. You say to yourself “my teams done, no need to check that anymore.” Yet you check 3 to 5x more than you normally did as if your luck might turn around. Let the beard grow for another day, that is time you can browse the waiver wire before work. Early bird gets the worm my friends. In the fantasy world, 4 am is late.

No fishing for me this winter, I missed all the worms.
